Updated for clarification: Selectmen at their meeting of October 29, 2019 will consider a request from the Sudbury Housing Authority (SHA) to support a funding request from SHA to the Sudbury Foundation to study potential locations for affordable housing locations in town, including Broadacres Farm (see linked agenda item).
It will be interesting to see if Selectmen support this kind of study, and if it would conflict with the “inclusionary zoning” policy Selectmen have talked about in the past.
The spot would presumably be where the current farmhouse/indoor arena/stables are located.
If anyone has thoughts about what they would/would not want to see at Broadacres, you can share your thoughts with Selectmen at email@example.com or at the Master Plan community meeting on Open Space on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
Depending on whether affordable housing is planned for the site under state regulations or local bylaws, the wetlands at the rear of that property could significantly affect (limit) what could be added there.
