No Vote Taken By Selectmen

Selectmen chose to not vote – at least for now – on a request from the Sudbury Housing Authority (SHA) to support SHA’s request for funding from a third party (the Sudbury Foundation) to conduct an evaluation of potential locations for affordable housing on town-owned land, including Broadacres Farm. Two main reasons were given:

  1. The Broadacres Town Forum will be held Nov. 21, and Selectmen want feedback from residents before supporting an evaluation of affordable housing there
  2. The Planning Board has been working on its “inclusionary zoning” policy, and Selectmen want more details on that.

We think the Selectmen made a good choice to hold off on its vote to gather more input from residents. However, there is a chance they might still vote in support of this measure later.
